These little words are the building blocks of expressing who is doing what, to whom, and when. The Basics of Spanish Personal Pronouns

Understanding the pronouns for 'I', 'You', 'He/She', and 'It':

  1. First Person Singular - "Yo" (I)

  • "Yo soy estudiante." (I am a student)

  1. Second Person Singular Informal - "Tú" (You)

  • "¿Tú cómo estás?" (How are you?)

  1. Third Person Singular Masculine - "Él" (He)

  • "Él es mi amigo." (He is my friend)

  1. Third Person Singular Feminine - "Ella" (She)

  • "Ella es inteligente." (She is intelligent)


Plural Personal Pronouns

Grouping in Spanish with 'Nosotros', 'Vosotros', 'Ellos', and 'Ellas':

  1. First Person Plural - "Nosotros" (We) for males or mixed gender, "Nosotras" for females

  • "Nosotros vamos al cine." (We are going to the movies)
