Let’s Practice Listening – Weekend Routines of Sofía, Marta, and Ana!

ree

Hello Students!

It’s Miguel Marina here, your Spanish Super Tutor, ready to guide you through another fun and exciting week of learning Spanish! 🎉

This week, we’ll be working on a listening exercise that’s all about the weekend routines of three friends: Sofía, Marta, and Ana.

The activity is designed to help you improve your listening comprehension, learn new vocabulary, and get ready to talk about it in class. Sounds good, right? Let me tell you more about it!

What’s the Plan?

You’ll listen to three short audios, each about 25 seconds long. Each one describes what Sofía, Marta, and Ana do every weekend. They have a lot of fun together, and you’ll get to know their favorite activities as you follow their weekend routines:

  • Friday: The three friends go to the cinema at a specific time.

  • Saturday: They meet for pizza at noon! You’ll hear about their favorite pizza toppings (spoiler: they all love different kinds of pizza 🍕) and their drinks. After lunch, they head to the park to walk and chat—just like best friends do!

  • Sunday: At 4 PM, the girls play sports like football, tennis, or basketball for an hour. Then, they go to Marta’s house to watch a movie in her huge room! Once the movie ends, they each head home because Monday is a school day.

What Will We Do in Class?

In our next session, we’ll talk about the audios together! You’ll practice organizing your thoughts and explaining their weekend routines in three parts:

  1. Friday – Cinema time!

  2. Saturday – Pizza and the park.

  3. Sunday – Sports and movies.

It’s a great way to practice speaking about everyday activities while expanding your vocabulary. Plus, it’s fun to talk about friends, food, and movies, right?

Your Mission: Complete the Listening Exercise!

Now it’s your turn! Click the link below to access the audios and start practicing:

Take your time, listen carefully, and don’t forget to take notes about what each girl likes to do. The more you prepare, the easier it’ll be to talk about it in class.

Why This Exercise Is Perfect for You

I know you all love learning Spanish through real-life stories and relatable situations. This exercise is short, simple, and packed with useful vocabulary about:

  • Everyday routines.

  • Food and drink preferences.

  • Sports and hobbies.

Plus, it’s an excellent way to sharpen your listening skills while having fun!

So, are you ready to dive in? 🎧 Let’s make this week a great one! I’ll see you in class, where we’ll chat about Sofía, Marta, and Ana’s weekends. Get those ears ready, and let’s do this! 💪

¡Hasta pronto!
