Common Street Insults in Spain
Here are some of the common insults you might hear on the streets. Learning them can help you avoid misusing them or understanding when a conversation is turning sour.
"¡Imbécil!" - Idiot!
Often used to express frustration towards someone’s actions.
"¡Tonto!" - Fool!
A mild insult questioning someone's intelligence.
"¡Estúpido!" - Stupid!
Similar to "tonto," used to criticize someone's decision or action.
"Cabrón" - Bastard!
More harsh, can be very offensive depending on context.
"Gilipollas" - Asshole!
Strong and very direct, definitely one to avoid using.
"Maleducado" - Rude person!
Not necessarily a swear word but can be offensive.
"Payaso" - Clown!
Used to describe someone acting foolish or silly.
"Bobo" - Dummy!
