IGCSE. Daily Activities

About the Course

In the "Daily Activities" course, geared towards Spanish language learners, students will engage with a variety of essential topics over the span of ten lessons. Throughout this course, they will gain a comprehensive understanding of how to describe and discuss everyday activities in Spanish.

  • Students can expect to delve into time expressions, where they will become proficient in telling the time, naming days, and discussing the weeks, months, and seasons. This foundational knowledge will be crucial for arranging meetings and planning events.

  • The course will also cover a wide array of vocabulary related to food and drink. Participants will learn to identify and talk about different meals, an assortment of fruits and vegetables, various meats, fish, and seafood, as well as common snacks and beverages. Additionally, they will familiarize themselves with the terms for cutlery and kitchen utensils, which will be especially useful for dining experiences and food preparation discussions.

  • Furthermore, the human body and health will be significant topics of study. Students will explore how to refer to different parts of the body, articulate common health concerns, and converse about symptoms and treatments, equipping them with the language skills needed for doctor's visits or pharmacy runs.

  • Travel and transport will also be a focus, with lessons designed to help students confidently talk about different modes of transportation and the vocabulary necessary for various travel scenarios, including navigating airports and making travel arrangements.

  • To ensure that students have fully absorbed the material, the course will culminate in a final examination. This assessment will test their acquired knowledge and their ability to apply the language skills they have learned in practical, real-world situations related to daily activities.

  • By the end of the course, students will not only have expanded their Spanish vocabulary but also developed the ability to communicate more naturally and effectively in their daily lives.
