Each lesson is built around a short story in Spanish — followed by comprehension tasks and one-minute vocabulary games. Structured by IGCSE topic area. Designed for international school students in Hong Kong.

Everyday Activities

This topic focuses on practical, day-to-day communication. You will learn to navigate real-world situations with complete autonomy through four key areas:

  • Home Life & Routine: Describe your daily habits, family dynamics, and how you manage household chores.

  • School & Education: Express your opinions on school subjects, classroom rules, and your daily routine at school.

  • Food & Drink: Master the essential vocabulary needed to order in restaurants, shop for groceries, and talk about meals.

  • Health & Fitness: Learn to describe body parts, explain common illnesses or symptoms, and discuss sports and healthy habits

Personal and Social Life

This topic explores your personal world, relationships, and cultural experiences. You will learn to express your identity and connect with others through three key areas:

  • Self & Relationships: Learn to detail physical appearance, personality traits, and discuss the qualities of meaningful friendships

  • House & Home:Talk about different types of housing, describe your ideal home, and explain how household chores are shared.

  • Holidays & Special Occasions: Master the vocabulary to describe holiday destinations, family celebrations, and traditional Hispanic festivals

  • Health & Fitness: Learn to describe body parts, explain common illnesses or symptoms, and discuss sports and healthy habits

The World Around Us

This topic expands your language skills to your local surroundings, travel experiences, and global issues. You will learn to interact with your community and discuss the planet through three key areas:

  • Home Town & Local Area: Navigate your neighborhood, describe local services like banks or post offices, and master giving and asking for directions

  • Travel & Transport: Talk about different weather patterns, compare methods of transport, and explore regional tourism.

  • The Environment: Discuss global environmental challenges, everyday recycling habits, and the impacts of climate change.

The World of Work

This topic focuses on your professional future, higher education, and modern workplace communication. You will learn to discuss career pathways and professional environments through three key areas:

  • Further Education: Talk about your plans for university and the importance of studying languages.

  • Careers & Employment:Discuss past work experience or internships, future career ambitions, and the pros and cons of part-time jobs.

  • Communication & Workplace: Master the vocabulary needed to use technology and languages effectively in an office or work environment.

The International World

This topic prepares you to become a global citizen by exploring international travel and cultural diversity. You will learn to navigate the global landscape through two key areas:

  • Travel at Home and Abroad:Learn to handle tourist information booths, understand brochures, and navigate a foreign country or manage emergencies while abroad.

  • Life in Other Countries: Make cultural comparisons regarding daily lifestyles, explore unique international traditions, and discuss major world events.
